Preview – Nissan Altima Hybrid: With a yawn, a shrug and a wave of the hand, Nissan executives came to the 2006 Orange County Auto Show and debuted the 2007 Nissan Altima Hybrid, with little riding on it except for an improved CAFÉ rating for the automaker. A combination of Toyota’s hybrid technology and Nissan’s redesigned Altima sedan, the AT-PZEV rated hybrid will be sold in the “Green States” of California, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont, and in limited supply. It may well be the last of its kind from Nissan – seeing as how Nissan and Toyota recently ended their hybrid technology agreement.
