The 2008 Esperante is a 2-door, 2-passenger luxury sports car, or convertible sports car, available in 6 trims, ranging from the Convertible to the GTLM Coupe. Upon introduction, the Convertible is equipped with a standard 4.6-liter, V8, 305-horsepower engine that achieves 17-mpg in the city and 25-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional. The GTLM Coupe is equipped with a standard 4.6-liter, V8, 420-horsepower, supercharged engine that achieves 16-mpg in the city and 22-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard. The 2008 Esperante is a carryover from 2007.
