"I now have over 6,000 miles on the car. I think it's the best car for the money you can buy.
The V6 has great pickup and will really move out. It will give you about 20 MPG in town and around 30 on the highway if you drive it easy.
Check out what it gives you for your money before you buy.

"Paid $19K for this 2006 LX. Got ~30 MPG on the freeway, not bad for a 6 cyliner. More comfortable seating and less bumpy than my 1991 Lexus LS400 on local concrete paved roads, but more wind noise on the highway. Handling is OK. 5-spd auto transmission is awkward, needs to be tuned so that it won't downshift so fast when taking foot off the paddle. The gas lift for the trunk lid are not working, the lid won't pop up when released. This should be covered by the warranty, however. Overall, it is great buy! "

"Thought 4 bangers were noisy,slow and filled with mechanical engineering problems? Think again; and you will once you take a Sonata for a test drive. Purchased one month ago; 1,700 miles without any problems. No rattles, not even a single minor complaint. Gas mileage? Mixed Driving: 26.5 (mostly back roads) Highway Only: none yet, but it appears 34 might even be possible. Usually gas ratings are off about 20% from postings listed and new guidlines are to be utilized soon; but the Sonata is in line with expectations posted. We are glad to have driven one away off the lot!"
