Detailed review: |
I give an excellant rating to this car AS A BASIC TRANSPORTATION VEHICLE. It reminds me alot of the new VW Beetles I bought in 1962 & 1968 as the best I could get for the $2500 I could afford. This year my limit was $7000. For several hundred $ less, I have a peppy, comfortable, economical 3-door hatchback with an incredible warrantee; just the vehicle for a single, 6'3' man. Still breaking in the engine, I'm averaging just over 30 mpg in city (Los Angeles) driving. The easy shifting 5-speed is well geared to the 91hp 4-cylinder 12valve engine, and I merge quite nimbly into traffic flow; much more safely than I did with the VW's. |
