Favorite feature: |
Safety; hit a deer and did very little damage (bent the hood, later straightened) |
Least favorite feature: |
I'm 6' tall and had to set the driver's seat to the farthest place back, where it is okay |
Advice to buyer: |
Buy it to keep it, it depreciates fast, but is so reliable it will be hard to part with it |
Detailed review: |
This is the best car I've ever owned. I bought it with 26,000 miles, and am finally trading it in with 163,500 miles. I had no major repair issues until 130K, when I replaced the rear wheel bearings. I replaced the gear shifter at 161K ($298 p&l), and the speedometer head failed at 161,500 miles (bought a $148 GPS). It never left me stranded anywhere. It gets 28/35mpg, but I change the oil every 3,000 miles and maintain the rest of the car per the owner's manual. After 163,500 miles, I hope my new Rio does as well as my 2002 did. |
