What's New for the 2005 Audi S4?
Introduced for 2004, it's not surprising that the 2005 Audi S4 receives few changes this year. Among them is a larger color screen for the DVD-based navigation system (when you order the glovebox-mounted six-disc CD changer) and a new center console with cupholders for the S4 convertible. The Audi S4 sedan receives a new body-colored antenna. The reflective warning triangle mounted on the inside liner of the trunk bids farewell for 2005.

Last year, the Audi S4 ripped into automotive nirvana stuffed full of V8 muscle. This is a serious performance car, equipped with a 340-horsepower 4.2-liter V8 engine, all-wheel-drive, and room for four adults with a weekend bag for each stowed in the trunk. Power flows through a six-speed manual transmission, rushing the Audi S4 from rest to 60 mph in about 5.5 seconds. A Tiptronic automatic with an equal number of gears is also available. When considering the 2005 Audi S4, think Subaru WRX STi or Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, but with a massive dose of refinement and a look that doesn't beg for a speeding ticket. At this price point, sporting luxury cars rarely get any better than the 2005 Audi S4. With this car, Audi proves it's dead serious about performance.
