Advice to buyer: |
Forget it. It is a fine car for a shorter person but visibility makes this car a no-winner to me. |
Detailed review: |
I rented this car while in Orlando. It was new and had 300 miles on it. I hated it! The biggest problem was visibility. Even with lowering my seat position I had to stop well ahead of the roll line to be able to see the stoplights mounted above the intersections. Side to side was just about as bad. I felt I was sitting in some military pillbox. Rear visibility is just about as bad. The window is minuscule to begin with but the head rests on the two front seats obscured the lower corners. In addition, the Florida temporary paper plate took up another third of the rear window, making backing up a highly dicey maneuver. The first full day I had the car it had a flat. The jack looks like most others except instead of a long handle it has this weird stubby handle attached to the jack itself. I had to call the rental agency to figure out how to disengage this handle from the rest of the jack! (Rental agencies do not leave user manuals in the cars these days, a real risk management issue if a renter gets injured due to not knowing how to do something or other). When I got to a toll booth, I could not figure out how to roll the window down. Only later did I finally realize that the window controls are not located in the logical place (near door handle) but on the central console area! The ride seemed stiff and truck-like to me. I could adjust the seats in pretty much any position but finding out how to simply recline the seat back or putting it in straighter position was elusive. |
